Google Ads sync

From mailbox to Google Ads — without a separate ad-platform SKU

Audiences is Afterplots' paid-social layer for local outreach. On Growth and Scale, connect Google Ads with OAuth, stage retargeting lists when postcards mail, and push only consented contacts on mail date + 3 days. Attribution and the consent ledger keep the funnel auditable. On Scale, booked consults and won jobs feed conversion lookalike audiences. Bundled with Growth and Scale — not a separate add-on.

How operators use it

  1. Step 1

    Connect ad accounts

Paste your Google Ads customer ID, complete OAuth once, and Afterplots stores encrypted tokens for automated audience push.

  2. Step 2

    Mail with consent on file

Submit postcards from Neighbor List. LP grants and manual consent stamps write to the consent ledger; only rows with paid_social consent are eligible for sync.

  3. Step 3

    Retargeting pack goes live

Growth workspaces accumulate households by mail send_date. A scheduled sync runs at mail date + 3 days and uploads hashed contacts to Google Customer Match lists.

  4. Step 4

    Target in your ad platforms

Open Google Ads Audience manager and attach the Afterplots list to Search, Display, Performance Max, or other campaigns — you control spend and creative.

What it does

Each capability below is a real surface in the Audiences screen — exactly what the team will see and use the first day they sign in.

  • OAuth connect for Google Ads

Connect once from Integrations → Audiences. Afterplots requests the scopes needed to create audiences and upload hashed contacts — no CSV hand-offs for the automated path.

  • Retargeting packs after mail (Growth+)

When you submit postcards for mail, Afterplots stages one retargeting pack per send_date and schedules sync for mail date + 3 days. Multiple neighbors on the same mail date roll into one pack.

  • Consent ledger enforcement

Only rows with documented paid_social consent sync to ad platforms. LP homeowner grants, manual operator stamps, and suppressions all write append-only consent events you can audit before export.

  • Attribution across mail → LP → booked job

UTM, gclid, and fbclid capture on landing pages; consult_booked outcomes and CRM conversion webhooks close the loop so you can see which mailed rows converted.

  • Google lookalike audiences (Scale seeds)

Retargeting sync creates or updates Google Customer Match lists. On Scale, conversion seeds from booked consults and won jobs can build Google lookalike audiences when your consented seed reaches platform minimums.

  • Google Customer Match lists

Synced households land as Customer Match user lists in the Google Ads account you connected. Use them as targeting or observation segments in campaigns you build in Google Ads.

  • Pack status in the console

The Audiences tab shows your connected Google account, retargeting pack status, list resources, and plain-language errors when sync is skipped or pending.

  • Manual CSV export still available

Need a one-off hand-off? Integrations → Audience export still builds hashed CSVs for CRM, LinkedIn, or ad platforms. Audiences is the automated path; export is the manual escape hatch.

  • Bundled on Growth and Scale

Audiences is included on Growth (retargeting packs) and Scale (retargeting + conversion lookalike seeds). There is no separate Audiences add-on SKU in Afterplots billing.

Mail earns attention — Audiences brings them back

Postcards and landing pages start the conversation on the block. Audiences lets you retarget consented homeowners on the platforms where they already spend time — with consent and attribution wired in, not bolted on after the fact.

Availability

Retargeting packs, OAuth connect, attribution, and consent ledger unlock on Growth and Scale (and Legacy). Conversion lookalike seeds unlock on Scale and Legacy. Free and Starter workspaces see upgrade callouts on the same Integrations screen.
