FeaturesTasks & activity
Assign the work. Log the work. See exactly what the team did this week.
Tasks & activity is the shared log inside your workspace. Anyone on the team can post a quick activity entry — a listing outreach, a permit follow-up, a neighbor contact — and admins or full seats can assign tasks (mail this postcard, phone this seller, run a site visit) to a specific teammate. Open tasks pin to the top until someone marks them done. The same routing that fills Territories and the same conversation that lives in Team messages now has a structured backbone.
How operators use it
- Step 01
Log the move
After a call, a postcard send, or a permit follow-up, hit the matching preset and add an optional note. The entry lands on the team feed.
- Step 02
Assign the next step
Admins and full seats pick a teammate, write a one-line task summary, and the assignment shows up at the top of that teammate's feed in amber.
- Step 03
Close the loop
When the task is done, the assignee clicks Done. The row strikes through with a timestamp; the open list shrinks; the next route runs against the latest reality.
What it does
Each capability below is a real surface in the Tasks & activity screen — exactly what the team will see and use the first day they sign in.
One shared feed for the whole team
Every task assignment, activity log, and routing event from the workspace lands in a single feed inside the Territories screen. Reps, admins, and viewers all see the same recent history — no parallel spreadsheets, no Slack-only memory.
Activity presets for the moves you actually make
Three preset buttons capture the work that defines a neighbor-marketing day: Listing outreach, Permit follow-up, and Neighbor contact. Add an optional address, listing note, or outcome and the entry is on the feed in one click — no template builder, no field schema to maintain.
Assign tasks with a teammate picker
Admins and full seats pick a teammate from the same workspace roster Territories uses, write a short task summary, and the assignment is on that teammate's feed instantly. Three preset summaries — Mail postcard, Phone seller, Site visit — match the playbook the rest of the console is already built around.
Open tasks pin to the top
The feed is sorted so open tasks always sit above completed work, with an amber highlight that makes them easy to scan. Reps know what's still owed before they start the next route or call list.
One-click Done
When a task is finished, the assignee marks it done with one click and the row falls into the completed history with a strike-through and a timestamp. Admins and full seats can also close a task on someone else's behalf when work shifts mid-day.
Role-aware permissions
Admins assign tasks and complete any open task. Full seats assign tasks and complete their own. Viewers can log activity entries but can't assign tasks — so a stakeholder still has a voice in the feed without changing role.
Same teammate roster as Territories
Tasks route to the same workspace teammates Territories already uses. There's no second user list to maintain — the rep you assigned a polygon to is the rep you can hand a postcard task to.
Routing log baked in
When admins save or update a territory, the activity feed records who changed what and when. Tasks, activity entries, and routing changes share one timeline so audits stay simple.
Refreshes the moment the map changes
Save a territory and the feed refetches in place. The team always sees the most recent state without a manual reload.
Quick history at a glance, deeper history when you need it
The feed shows the most recent activity by default; pull more history when you're running a weekly review. Open tasks always sit at the top, no matter how busy the day was.
Stays inside your team
Activity is private to your workspace — it's never visible outside your team. Tasks & activity is part of the same paid plan that unlocks Territories.
The standup that the console runs for you
Most multi-rep teams burn 15 minutes every morning recapping who did what. Tasks & activity collapses that into a feed that already exists when the team logs in — and a queue of open assignments that survives a busy afternoon.
Availability
Scale plan, alongside Territories. Admins and full seats assign tasks; admins, full seats, and viewers can all log activity. Try and Starter workspaces see a feature explanation and a path to upgrade.
